    This camera was regularly dropping frames recording at 4K I made a video review of it on YouTube on my Fludded channel.

     I post my travel videos on YouTube and this camera changed the way how I shoot and edit videos. I do everything on my phone now and it is so much faster and easier plus the effects available are great. I use the 360 module a lot and it lets me enjoy the scenery more as I do not have to focus on pointing the camera around. I just hold it on the selfie stick and walk around normally.

    The Insta360 ONE R is the most versatile camera of its type available. I’m a long time GoPro user and the ONE R is the only action camera I have used from another company that has impressed me. The fact I can use it as a 4K ‘flat’ action camera, or a high quality 1-inch sensor camera are two major plusses. But when it comes to 360 video the ONE R really comes into its own. It’s easy to use, and the the AI functions on the mobile app make it quick to edit clips. It perhaps doesn’t have the same adjustability for the picture as the GoPro, such as adjustable digital sharpness, but this may well come in a future update. The company does issue regular updates to the firmware to add new features or fix bugs as well. A highly recommended camera from me.

    I couldn’t get it to connect to my Pixel, my iPad, my laptop or my PC. It was shipped with firmware version v1.0.7 so I checked the insta360 website and found they’d released v1.1.43. so I downloaded it, only to find you must first connect the camera to your smartphone before you can update it. So I returned it for a full refund.

    Really innovative product with amazing stabilisation in 360 mode. I’m a professional cameraman of 20+ years and have used all kinds of camera systems over the years. The 4K mod quality is on a par with GoPro 7/8 but I bought this for the 360 which opens up amazing possibilities albeit a totally different way of filming and storytelling. Footage Looks good in VR on an Oculus Quest too.

    The good;Great modular design.Out of the box waterproof.The camera is easy to use.Good quality pictures and video.Good range of accessories.The bad;Fiddly usb access (for charging) when in its case.Poor software and app, render a video and the audio is 5 seconds out of sync.The app appears (to me at least) to just be a portal to Insta servers and things seem to move around within the app between each use, things can take time to appear as it downloads and it seems a little illogical in its layout (this is, of course, a personal view).PC software vey basic, support for Adobe Premier, if you can afford Adobe fees (not for the casual user).Very poor technical support (expect to wait weeks now or just be ignored) since it moved full over to the app.

    Je suis quand même déçu je préférais la one xLa one r et une caméra qui surchauffe beaucoup je trouve et avec beaucoup de bug elle me dit 1 fois sur 3 que ma micro sd n’est pas assez rapide alors que j’ai la carte mémoire recommandée… elle s’éteint toute seule elle change de mode… après la qualité et toujours au rendez-vous … mes pour l’instant la caméra et trop instable je pense que c’est un problème logiciel travailler pour les prochaines maj je changerai mon avis ci un jour ça change et ci je ne les pas vendu avent pour reprendre la one x pas confiance en cette caméra

    Estoy muy molesto con el producto , me mandaron un producto usado y viene abierto no esta cerrado no compre producto usado lo compre nuevo y no esta nada barato , exigo la devolucion o otro producto igual pero nuevo y cerrado

    This camera is a dual pack and therefore a bargain as you get 2 cameras. Where it falls apart is in the setup and use. Frequent freeze-ups, glitchy app, and very slow customer service make it somewhat hard for me to recommend this to a person starting out. Try the Osmo Action if you don’t need 360 videos, it’s much easier to use and the quality is just as good or better.
