Early days as it is for this light, I am very pleased with it. I purchased similar lights on Radiant Roost which were slightly cheaper but did not match the description and certainly was not the same product as this. I did get a refund for the other lights so all was not lost but this is definitely the option to go for. Firstly, it matches the description. It comes with the stated wiring and is very easy to fit. The surround of the bayonet fixing is ceramic and can withstand the heat that a 100W bulb will generate. If you want a bathroom light or kitchen, where I fitted this which gives off a good amount of light and seems safe, get this.

There is a problem with the remote What they dont show you is that the remote receiver wire poking out of the main chrome body of the fan unit with a blob of a receiver on the end thats stuck with tape to the ceiling You would expect the receiver diode to be mounted in a hole in the side of the base, rather the wire runs out a hole and you are supposed to stick the receiver to your ceiling with a sticky pad. All very well if you have a flat ceiling, but I dont. Mine is Artexed. Tell me, how am I supposed to stick the sensor to that I am also not very happy about it just being sticky. Not very permanent at all. Especially since my sticky pad was damaged.I ditched the remote and bought the wall control instead. That required a minor wiring change so that I could use my normal light switch for the light and the wall fan controller just for the fan onoff and speed. The reason for that is there is a connection block on the fan for live, neutral and earth. Both the fan and the light are supplied by the live. The live has two wires in it. You have to remove the redorange wire, which is the live supply for the light, and using your own terminal block, connect that to your wall light switchedlive. So, easy, but what I dont understand is why they didnt just supply you with a four way block so that you didnt need to fiddle about and supply one of your own.The fan is relatively daunting to assemble, although actually pretty easy. You really dont need instructions.Oh, and remember what I said about Artex You do need a flat ceiling. Or at least you need a ceiling rose. I got an MDF rose and attached it to the ceiling, to provide a flat base for the fan and I am glad I did. In fact none of the fan housing is supposed to touch the ceiling. The base of the ceiling bracket is coated in a rubber type material, so nothing actually touches the ceiling apart from the rubber. Course this just isnt going to work unless your ceiling or rose is flat. I suspect this is key to making the ceiling fan quiet.I was actually very impressed with the balance of the fan. It ran at full speed with just about no wobble. However, it is basically a pendulum with no damping so at one speed it did resonate, gently rocking back and forth. Some would call it wobble. But at all other speeds it was perfectly still meaning its well balanced. I suspect that fitting a leather washer under the main support would sort this out if you really hate wobble, er, I mean resonance. It would just add some resistance against resonance. There was no electrical noise, just a slight helicopter noise woosh of air. There was some noise coming from the unit but I am not sure what it was. Once it reached a certain speed there was a continuous noise that wasnt air and wasnt electrical. I dont know what it was. Whatever, it was pleasant and could happily go to sleep with. The unit is very quiet, but by no means silent. Remember though that I didnt use the remote so I have no idea whether that has any impact on noise. One thing that was slightly annoying is that its not possible to line up the lights on a particular axis. They point in weird directions. The light base containing all three lights can not be set in any orientation it can not be rotated. You can, however, twist individual lights. I just had to accept they are pointing in odd directions and thats that.I used 4.5W LED bulbs and that makes a very bright ceiling light. I would say that is equivalent of about a 100W conventional bulb.

Fantastic fan for the money, was very impressed straight out of the box. The fan already had a remote control but I wanted to add this to my ever growing smart home. Using he the old controller I cut and soldered the wiring harness which was very easy. The new controller just fits in the same place as the origanal unit. It was a bit tight but does goes. In use I can use the Sonoff remote or the ewelink app to control this. You can then use google home etc to control it via voice. Highly recommended and would buy again. My only gripe is it is a bit fiddly to build up. I am sure it could be simplified. But it did not take long to do. Installation was very good. But not a lit of room inside for cables.

It looks good, performs excellently and is very quiet. My wife and I are delighted with the quality of this fan and how cool it is keeping our bedroom during this current hot spell. Fitted with led bulbs, it is economical to run. Its still early days, but from first impressions I would highly recommend this product. There are, however, a few safety issues for prospective buyers to consider.1. When fitted, there is a gap of 220mm from the ceiling to the fan blades and the manual specifies that the fan blades should then be at least 2.3 metres above floor level. The rooms in a lot of modern houses are not tall enough to accommodate this.2. Snap connectors make the internal electrics very easy to assemble, but removing existing lighting hardware to install the fan unit is really a job for a qualified electrician.3. The unit is heavy Its a 2 person job to install and the mounting bracket must be fixed to a solid ceiling beam. The unit comes supplied with 2 fixing screws but I chose to use 5 mm bolts passing right through the beam. Finally, we are very happy now the fan is installed and especially like the convenience and simplicity of the remote control operation. We do have one minor reservation, though. As reported in another review, the sticky pad that fixes the infrared remote sensor to the ceiling isnt sticking. Its easy to fix, but its ironic that its such a lowtech issue thats a problem.

Biught this for master bedroom. Installation was easy however i am an electrician.Remote control is large by todays standards. Mainly for the size of batteries however better than manual controls.Noise is quiet for a fan. I mainly use this to cool my balls down on a warm night and it doesnt keep me awake. The fan is a good size for a large bedroom. Noticably drops the temp on a warm stuffy night and circulates the air perfectly without creating a draught. More like a cool breeze.Lighting is dependant on the bulbs you use. Lights are also controlled by the remote which is a win.
