    I’m afraid I can’t rave about its supposed sharpness so I returned it. The humble 18–35 3.5-4.5G ED gives much better results at the same focal length, albeit not as open. That said, from f1.8 to f2.8 there is so much chroma and diffusion this lens that it’s not really usable for anything serious. The image looks as plasticky as the lens feels. I use a D800 but perhaps it performs better on 12Mp.

    I am still learning to be a photographer, but I loooove this lens, is really wide, even if I am using it on a Nikon D90 (that is a cropped camera). the resould is really bright due to the f/1.8 aperture, and very sharp, specially in close up pictures! Been really useful for few project I’ve done for a club-night and a baby-shooting! highly recommended!!!

    Great lens. Small, light and great image quality. It’s sharp and has a really nice bokeh. The build quality is only so-so – feels a bit cheap in the hand but the plus side to this is the (lack of) weight.

    This is a Wonderfull focal length for landscape and everyday use.I already have a 20mm f1.8g and the 24g and 35g. This lens is the one that gets the most use.

    I bought this lens few months ago.Because of the size and price I started investing only in fixed lenses.It is the matter of getting use to have a zoom option in your legs :)If this doesn’t not bother you do not hesitate and buy this lovely piece of glass.28mm lens is very sharp, gives good contrast, and it’s wide enough to use it indoors.I am also using it as my landscape prime lens.I highly recommend it !
