    I like this low profile style and I have four of them in my kitchen ceiling. The pearl glass gives a nice even spread of light much better than spots which I think are awful I accidentally knocked one glass down as they are only held on with plastic arms and it smashed all over so its definitely glass I was pleased to find them available on Radiant Roost and bought two complete units as the easiest way to get a replacement glass and one spare The plastic arms are only pressed into oval holes in the metal base and can be dislodged if knocked. I would recommend securing them with small short bolts through holes in the base and arm before fitting to the ceiling.
