I am so glad I ignored the negative reviews.Okay – the sound quality is a BIT below par, but – what do you expect? It’s not supposed to be Audiophile or super Hi-Fi!I bought this as an MP3 player and with a 32Gb card it goes on and on and on. The battery life – AAA x 2 is also very impressive.For the price this is a great piece of kit!The voice recording is adequate and fit for purpose.

I sent mine back due to a small scratch on the screen. I did try it out and was not impressed on a few points. Main gripe is the tiny screen, not only tiny but no backlite. Why? everything is backlit these days and with such a tiny screen it’s absolutely essential. Unless you have 20/20 vision you will struggle big time and out doors you’ll be cupping your hand over it see. Not many features but ok as a dictaphone and cheap I guess, though I would go for one of the even cheaper chinese branded models after trying the phillips.
