For sometime now, i have been using the Samsung T5 Portable SSD and I’ve been perfectly happy with it. I chanced upon the Samsung T7 Portable SSD and thought I would upgrade.The difference between the two units is clear to see in daily operation. I will say however, any speed difference you are likely to see is not just down to the Samsung T7 Portable SSD; you have to take your computer technology into consideration too. The Samsung T7 Portable SSD will certainly perform better when used in tandem with a fast computer. If used with ageing technology, it’s just not going to be as quick.

Got the drive as fastest reasonably cheap option after checking lots of reviews on youtube. Got it and am Super happy. Speed is unbelievable compared to my slow usb 2 drives. Bought it to work on video editing directly on the drive – am sure it will do its job. Will leave another review after extended period of use.Update after few days of use.Superhappy. Speed is awesome. In reality it feels about 1gb per second. Did a speed test. This is on my macbook pro 2017. No lag, works great.Bear in mind that if yiu will be loading huge files for a long time due to heat it might slow down, but it’s normal for such size and price (actually super good balance, not just good)

I was pleasantly surprised by how small this was in real life. The design is sleek and modern, and the red one looks just as I imagined.Haven’t tried it with USB C devices as yet, but with the supplied Type C to Type A adaptor cable, it runs well on PC and laptop.I did have a problem connecting the drive to a powered USB 3.0 Hub with the C to A adapter cable.
