Have purchased two of these units, both failed in the same way, the micro USB port fails inside the unit, becomes loose and then you can’t charge the speaker. One lasted just over a year so I bought another one on sale. The newest one only lasted 2 months and then failed. Monster won’t warranty this because I purchased from ClickElectronics… I won’t buy another!

Bought this for my older sister’s birthday, she was pleased with it. I, a self-proclaimed audiophile and tech junkie, got to try it for like five minutes at one point, and here’s what I’ve come up with…________Pros:The buttons are pretty solid, but pressing too hard all the time may cause them to jam in and become difficult to press after that, but hey, they work! Volume up, volume down, power, and flashlight. The pairing process is odd, you have to hold the power button for 5 seconds WHILE POWERING ON. Weird + inconvenient but not an issue.The sound was strong and bouncy! Firecracker is right… At 80% volume, it was jumping on the table a little bit, like a millimetre or so, but my phone is pretty weak. There is actually a stereo effect, unlike some BT speakers out there…Instrument separation and EQ balance was as expected for the price and form factor, considering it’s waterproof as well and that feature often impacts sound quality. I personally enjoyed listening to the sound that was produced from these drivers, and I can’t say that about all speakers.Other great bonuses include the flashlight (good for power outages and nighttime roaming), the size/shape is that of a short triangular water bottle (good for water bottle holsters and backpacks), AND it comes with a carabiner hook + clip! Love it! Weird on paper, effective in practice.Battery life was not a concern, not much to say about that. Under heavy use, it would last a full work day at typical volume levels. Not tested firsthand, but I know how my sister uses her speakers, and it lasted her a couple days.________Cons:The female announcer voice. “Powering on”, “Pairing”… not a fan. I suppose that’s standard nowadays though.The fiddly pairing process as mentioned above. Having to hold down the power button while starting up is inconvenient. Had to explain it to my sister, because who reads manuals anymore? Me. LolFalse advertising for the, as they say, ‘selfie light’. It needs to have a diffusing filter at the front, like frosted glass or a sheet of paper, to stop the light from being so piercing. Great as a legitimate flashlight though! Built into a cylindrical speaker? Yes please.And that’s all I can think of for now. Good purchase for under $70! Recommended for this price bracket and use case.

Purchased this for a family member because it’s camping season. Gave it as a birthday gift it was loved instantly.I chose this instead of other bluetooth speakers because of the following.1) Super-bright flashlight. Used a sample at a Bestbuy and it’s hella bright.2) water resistant and rugged. Always good to have on a speaker.3) Great sound from a company that’s been making speakers since forever. I’ve owed Monster speakers and power products before and they’ve all lasted pretty long without issues. I feel pretty confident giving this as a gift.

* Edit from previous review. After 3 months my speaker stopped charging. It worked long enough for it to pass the return date from ClickElectronics and because this isn’t an authorized 3rd party Monster wont honor the warranty. No where on the description does it warn customers about this.Amazing product that really projects the sound. Battery is good and it is easy to pair with all Bluetooth enabled systems. Even the flashlight had come in handy. I haven’t had the chance to test it’s water durability so can’t comment on that.

Had this for a week now and the sound is good but is now it won’t charge. Now it out of power and I have to send it back. Now seller said haven’t received the item when I send it already and charging me..
