    This is a very versatile and handy Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is very good for the size. It’s easy to attach to a backpack or anything for that matter. JBL have always had a decent level of sound quality on their speakers. I’ve had a few over the years and have always been pleasantly surprised with the audio quality. Battery life is ok and it’s waterproof but I would still recommend not submerging it if possible.

    Bought solely to hang in the shower to prevent my teenage son from taking his smart phone into the cubicle and listening to music whilst showering!! It Syncs to Bluetooth easily. Sound quality is good and loud for such a compact speaker. Battery life is good and it clips onto the shower caddy effortlessly and the fact that it is waterproof provides reassurance. Really pleased with this purchase and delighted that I no longer have to worry about my son dropping his smartphone in the shower or his phone succumbing to water / moisture damage!…. plus as an added bonus it can be carried anywhere so it can be used in lots of other settings. Most importantly it does what I needed it to do 🙂

    This is a delightful speaker that produces amazing sound for its size.It works as expected when paired with an Android smartphone via Bluetooth. However, if it’s paired with a Windows 10 laptop, the JBL Clip 3 cannot adjust the volume in Windows or vice versa. In other words, if you change your volume level in Windows, the sound volume coming out of the Clip 3 doesn’t change.The JBL Clip 3 does have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so when tethered in this way rather than via Bluetooth, changing the volume in Windows does change the loudness of the sound coming from the Clip 3.I contacted JBL support about the Windows Bluetooth volume issue. JBL is owned by Harman International, so they responded, “I’m very sorry to say that the method you have managed with your work around is the closest I’m aware that this can be achieved. The Clip 3 device has not been designed with the connections of Computer/Laptops in mind as such their is no on board communication between this device and PC’s. … I’m not aware of any of our active speakers or portable speakers range that would support such a use with the computer in where the volume can be controlled by the computer itself as their is no on-board application for computer connections.”The workaround they refer to is this:1. Make sure the JBL Clip 3 is connected to the computer via Bluetooth.2. Press the – button on the JBL Clip 3 until the volume is off.3. Click the speaker icon in Windows notification area, so you have a volume slider4. Move the slider either up or down (doesn’t matter which)5. Press the + button on the JBL Clip 3. The volume slider tool will show and the volume will go up a notch.6. Repeat steps 3-5 until you reach the desired volume.The above steps work for decreasing the volume, too, but of course you need to set the volume to full in step 2 and press the – button in step 5 rather than the + button.

    It is not often I volunteer a review but this product warrants some love and respect.I have purchased many blue tooth speakers in my time but this tops them all in the portable category.From such a small unit it makes a worthwhile crisp sound much better than you might expect given its size.The design and build is excellent. And so easy to use…even with gloves on.I purchased specifically for outdoor activities such as cycling and skiing and it is ideal. Small enough to fit in the pocket…loud enough to play through the fabric of my chest pocket…but then there’s the clip…so it can hang robustly off stuff…like a rucksack.No hesitation in giving this little thing 5 stars.I went for the grey colour and think it looks great. Well done JBL.
