I saw this reviewed by a You-tuber and trusted his opinion ‘Peter Mckinnon’ and i was just about to head away on holiday.. This was purchased with the special 360 extendable pole device.. And trust me its worth it.. I will review it.. But the camera automatically edits the pole out of your shots..”MAGIC”It takes a little while being able to look natural with the video mode.. But alot of the time i just set the timer and poled it straight above us and got a fantastic view of the areas we were. Whilst other standard camera users were waiting in lines to take the perfect shot etc. It links straight to my Android phone or Ipad, however i am having trouble downloading to my Dell XPS but i imagine this is me not the Camera.. Pricey but some great holiday pics.

Having been a GoPro’er for some time – i was very impressed with the picture quality and the awesome way you can manipulate the video/picture once you have recorded it. Taking it on holiday i was able to use it underwater as well as a time lapse giving a great view of the complex I was in – really impressed at the quality.Getting to grips with all the functions took a bit longer than the GoPro – however with a little research and the app giving great advice I am now fully up to speed. With a couple more add ons (venture case and selfie stick) this makes it all the more versatile, capturing some treasured moments in 5.7k. It actually lends itself for people to go out more than they potentially would in order to make great moments to capture on this device too.Only downside I found is the display screen in very feint especially in the sun, in the venture case, so spent some time squinting at a tiny screen pressing buttons and hoping for the best.

This is a great camera. I bought it to supplement a couple of conventional action cameras I use for my motorbike trips. I am amazed by this tiny device which allows me to do stuff I simply couldn’t do before. For example, with the “invisible selfie stick”, I can be in my own videos, and it looks like I have hired a cameraman to follow me around. Mounting the camera on my motorbike, I capture everything around me, and when I come to edit my video, I can control a virtual camera, panning around the scene I have captured. The firmware for the camera and also the editing software for phone and desktop are also being updated by the supplier on a regular basis, incorporating new features. The latest camera firmware, for instance, now allows a video shooting mode at the highest resolution of 5.7k now at 25 frames per second in addition to the 30 frames per second it originally supported. Up to now though I have been more than happy with the video quality at 4k at 50 fps, which gives me the option to slow the footage down for slo-mo at half speed. My only gripe about the One X is the current difficulty in getting hold of accessories for it, but presumably that situation will improve over time. Spare batteries and a venture case would be top of my list. I do have the invisible selfie stick which really does live up to its name in the footage you shoot. All in all, I’m impressed. The stabilisation is amazing and it allows me to get shots that are just not possible on a conventional camera such as a GoPro. Having said that, it’s not as weather proof or tough as a GoPro, so I will be investing in a protective Venture case for it, once they become available again, for use when mounted on my motorbike.

I’ve had the camera for a few weeks now and so far, I can’t fault it. It takes amazing pictures and video with stabilisation as good as my GoPro 7. It can be controlled directly from its simple interface or from a great app on your phone. Stitching of the two images is something that just happens, you don’t notice. HDR is good, very low light on still images can be a little grainy but the video is great. The PC / Mac app is also good. It remains to be seen how rugged the device is, a summer’s worth of action should prove this. The next purchase will be the waterproof house to try it on the water.

Great addition to you camera bag

  6. Thomas R. Trevelyan

Purchased this with the stick pack and a spare battery.Have loved using this camera to make either cool photos that can be twisted in to tiny planets and films that look amazing and can be edited easily afterwards so you can get the shots you want, also moving between one shot style to another to create unique films. The buttons are easy to use and the menu screen is easy to read, harder in direct sunlight, and with plenty of options. Sound recording is OK so may be best to have as ambient sound over a music bed or take a separate audio recorder if sound is very important. With the addition of the selfie stick and the bullet stick you can add so much more variety to the camera shots with bullet time and with the added feature of the stick being invisible in the videos. With the added software and being able to link to shoot remotely and view what you are shooting on your phone or ipad is excellent.Really very happy that I bought the kit.

This is an amazing camera, I have no technical knowledge or skills but the simplicity of this allows even me to create amazing images. Connection to the software is straightforward and the app is great fun.It revolutionises how photographs will be taken in my family.

I’ve owned a few 360 cameras and this is by far the easiest to operate, best image and quickest to edit all from the intuitive App. You can obviously export the footage and edit on a pc or Mac if you need more than the App offers. There is free editing software called Studio, it has some great features considering it’s free!I’ve mounted it to the outside of my aircraft and tested in speeds of 140mph+ The image stabilisation is superb with no obvious flutter shown on the playback. So far so good! Get one!
