For FPS twitch gaming, this is a great mouse, fast and accurate without and acceleration or glitching.

I am giving this mouse (HyperX pulsefire FPS Pro) 4 stars mainly because of the HyperX NGenuity software. I ordered HyperX keyboard before, and it took me a good while to set it up the way way I wanted and most importantly, to save the settings. But unlike the keyboard, the mouse won’t save the settings for the love of god. Every time I lock my computer the mouse just resets the settings and starts cycling colours as if I just plugged the mouse in first time from the box. Every time you want to apply the settings you need to open the software and apply the settings. On top of that it’s very difficult to navigate through the software and it’s very user unfriendly. There is no excuse, it should be straight-forward.Other than that the mouse is great, there is no doubt that HyperX products are awesome in terms of quality and durability. I was deciding between this mouse and Razer Deathadder and I’m still not sure if I made the right choice. Old Deathadder felt ‘better’ in my hand, it feels like it’s slipping from outside when I hold it, but I’m sure my hand will adjust after few sessions. All in all I love the mouse itself, please fix the bloody software and you’ll get your 5 starts. It’s driving everyone mental.

After loving my HyperX headset I figured Id give their mouse a go, oh boy was that a bad idea. From a positive perspective the mouse is really comfy and the tracking seems to be ok, but thats where it stops. The mouse buttons have far to much play to even be considered as a gaming mouse. After playing in game for a while and wondering why my clicks were not registering it became apparent that the edges of the buttons did not consistently register a click even though there was an audible click. Maybe 1 in 4 click would actually work as expected. Until this is fixed this mouse is just not suitable for gaming. As a side note this mouse felt really light, might not be a problem if that is your preference but felt like it needed some more weight behind it.

But handles poorly. I really wanted to like this mouse, but i just cant.Though it looks good, its ergonomic, the lighting is nice…The profile is constantly being unloaded, after restarts, or after the computer wakes up from sleeping, despite me deleting the 3 default profiles and making my own. That rubber on the side that cools great?! Really is the worst thing to ever have on gaming mice AVOID if you ever see a mouse with that rubber. Why?! Do your hands sweat?! Do you have naturally oily hands?! This mouse will slip from your hands more times than anything during gameplay thanks to that grip.Random clicks – its only happened twice, but once when i was watching a video, another reading – the middle mouse “had been pushed”

Bought this mouse to play FPS games like Overwatch and Apex Legends. The first thing I noticed was just how lightweight this mouse feels. It has a very nice shape and feel in the hand. The cord is so light that it feels like it isnt even there. Overall a fantastic purchase that I am very happy with. Superb mouse from HyperX. If I had to pick at something it would be that the clicked feel ever so slightly hollow.- Comfortable Shape- Precise Sensor- RGB Lighting- Great durability

First of, when the mouse works it is great for the price. Its size is perfect for my small hands and you can fully customize the RGB. It has 2 DPI buttons as well which I appreciate. However, the software is the worst I’ve ever had to deal with when using a gaming peripheral. I’ve been using a gaming PC but recently started using a gaming laptop while away to visit my family. I went to download the HyperX Ngenuity Software. I noticed that the usual software download was unavailable and that you could only download a beta version from the Microsoft store. As soon as I downloaded it and it asked me to download a firmware update it bricked my mouse. That is right. It bricked my mouse. After searching the internet I found the hyperx reddit and it became clear many users were having this problem. HyperX’s solution was to download another firmware update from their website and to not use Ngenuity in the meantime. What a joke. So now the RGB on my mouse doesn’t work and I can’t even use my DPI buttons. When I found a .exe file of the old Ngenuity software I use with my PC I was happy to download it but found that, as soon as I’d customise the RGB and DPI settings, the left click would just stop working. So now I’m left with a mouse that works but I can’t even use half its features. What a joke. The HyperX devs said they’d “fix it and that there’d be an update in the next week” but with Cyberpunk 2077 just out it’s not acceptable. I will never purchase another HyperX product again.

This is a smooth mouse that is easy to hold. The DPI is easy to change both up and down rather than cycle through them. The clicks are fine and Im having a great time in games now Ive found the best settings with a really good mouse.Oh but the software wont work properly for me. I wont take a star off as this could be my end. But watch out in other reviews in case its a common occurrence

So it’s not the fault of the mouse, but I didn’t check and it causes problems with Dauntless. It’s certainly got very high DPI but even when I turned the settings right down I still found it a bit too jerky. But as it turns out, it’s the mouse software that causes problems with the game. I’ve since found out that Razr gaming mice also cause problems with Dauntless. But it’s very comfortable, I like the programmable buttons and the colour changes. So if it worked for me with my game, I’d give it 5 stars.

Software works fine in its latest version in Windows Store. I had many hi-end, mid-range and low end mice in the past thus have some ideas what is what. Coming from moded Logitech G203 because I was really missing that second button behind the scroll wheel. Side buttons and ergonomics are highlight of this mouse. Sensor for all practical purposes but numbers scrutiny on par with the best ones, scroll wheel is better than on g203 so far but the mouse is let down by very bad feet – at least on my sample. The increased friction compared to g203 was instantly noticeable and annoying. I had some spare g203 feet so I just peeled off the original ones and stick g203 feet on it and the difference is night and day, it glides super smooth on G203 feet. Paracable mod in the post – a very light way and flexible replacement cable which makes any wired mouse feel like wireless.I decided to do one further mod which to me enhances grip significantly. I applied slightly cut to shape unused grips, originally for G203, to sides and buttons. Mouse grips are cheap to get and make the grip really secure and more tactile with nicer feel to it too.
