Its overall a good camera with decent video quality and a very good image stabilization and there is absolutely no doubt about that. But things get a bit annoying when u face certain situations as mentioned below:1. When shooting in selfie mode (as it is mostly used as a blogging camera) the field of view is quite small and the face covers the entire field of view with almost no background visible.2. The placement of the mic hole is such that it is very easy to cover it with the finger unknowingly and discovering the mistake on the editing table that the whole audio of the footage is messed out. This has happened quite a lot of time with me.3. The low light performance is below average considering the price of the camera. It is full of noise even the smart phone camera night mode is far better than this one. These are the major drawbacks that I found apart from that in built audio is good, 4K is awesome, slow motion is good. This camera is a beast when shooting in daylight.

I honestly got this thing as a novelty at first and didn’t expect much, but wow! This has to be one of the most capable and versatile cameras in my arsenal. First, the 4K/60 looks amazing in basically any situation you throw it in, but working in pro mode definitely helps make it a lot better. Once you get the hang of the controls on the small screen (I don’t use it with my phone, kind of defeats the purpose for me), the pro mode is pretty easy to use and it can do so many cool things. I can get angles and different types of dynamic shots that I could never get with one of my larger DSLR or cinema cameras because of the size. The in camera color looks great as is, and DJI’s log profile is really nice to grade. The gimbal is flawless and super tough, I’ve dropped mine a ton already. And with the new firmware update the autofocus is really solid. I can’t believe they packed all of this into such a small and cheap camera!

On the positive side: The tilt stability and video can be really good. I used it skiing and produced some really nice video. For what the device is, pocket size, I think its a good first effort. On the negative side:The device is not even splash proof, since water can directly go into the micro SD card slot on the side. So if you are going into the mountains you’ll need to bring some waterproofing in case of rain. The device has issues with autofocus pumping when you are running — especially in varying light such as through a forest. This seems to be a common complaint with the device when I read around about how to fix it. There seems to be no real way to resolve it. A lot of the video I have taken while out hiking or running is useless due to the focus issues. In selfie mode, I found the device had issues focusing on my face and there is no way to turn off face tracking in this mode to get around it. You just need to hope the device has focused on you and its super hard to tell if you are in focus on such a small screen. The case it comes with is also not waterproof and has one side completely open. It would be better if it was a fully enclosed case to protect the device better. To make the device useable for adventures I had to buy a seperate waterproof case.In the end, I now wish I went for the go pro 7 instead

DJI make some fantastic products. Ive had a few of their drones and they never disappoint. The OSMO pocket is no different. I was blown away by just how small and compact this camera is. 4K@60fps is an impressive feat to fit into such a small camera and with its 3-axis gimbal it delivers a lovely smooth cinematic experience. Its not the cheapest thing in the world but the quality is very good. I would recommend this for anybody who wants to get out and take some cinematography footage without dragging loads of equipment around with them. I do think this is a really cool product and Im planning to have loads of fun with it.

I cannot believe how good this thing is. I actually sold my Zhiyun Crane Plus that I used with my Sony A6300 because I know I would much rather pull this thing out rather than spend the time to set up, balance and even just use my old rig. I know there are obviously some pros of using a full size gimbal and camera but for me personally they just do not outweigh the practicality and ease of use of the Osmo Pocket!

The DJI Osmo Pocket is a really good camera and I do recommend it. It can shoot 4K60 and 1080p120 so it is high quality and has the ability to be slowed down in post. It also has its own flat/log profile which is really good for colour grading but the normal colours are good too. The menu is a bit complicated at first and the gimbal works a lot better with your phone attached. I got it with the extendable stick and that is great however I cannot connect it to my phone so I have ordered the wireless connector which will make it a lot better. The gimbal works well however there are still so bumps probably because it is so small. It also cannot do the “vortex” feature like most other gimbals can do which is a shame but not the most important feature you need. When I brought this I also considered getting a GoPro Hero 7 Black as they are around the same price. But after watching some reviews on each on YouTube I realized the Osmo was the camera for me as I already had a Go Pro Hero 5 Session which could do almost everything the Hero 7 could but the Hero 7 would have been smoother footage. The quality is much closer to a DSLR on the Osmo whereas GoPros quality is lost as the lens is so wide. The Osmo Pocket cannot replace the GoPro in anyway though (but the DJI Osmo Action can) as it is too delicate to be used when doing extreme sports. Also both the Osmo and the GoPros have really bad audio quality although you can get a mic jack for both cameras if you want to rig up a better mic.The reason I got the Osmo is because it is such a good b-camera to my Canon DSLR and as I am a Film student it is really useful to put in more unusual places without it looking too different to the main camera (a DSLR). The only thing I wish the Osmo could do better is having a shallow depth of field as you cannot get any bokeh like you could with DSLR. My friend did get a gimbal for our DSLRs and that can do the features that to Osmo cannot however you need a DSLR to use it and a good DSLR for video are £500+ and with a gimbal thats around £300/£400 so for the price the DJI Osmo Pocket is an outstanding camera.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star rating. This camera is truly a remarkable bit of technology and will play a huge part in my video recording on travels. The 4K video and 3 axis stabilisation is just amazing. The other day we tried using this along side GoPro Hero 6 and there was just no comparison. I don’t doubt that the newer action cameras have good stabilisation now but i really don’t think you can match a mechanical gimbal like this. The beauty of this is that it also fits in your pocket like an action camera. I use this with the extension rod and its a great accessory for getting different angles and for controlling the camera angles etc.So the reason I marked this down a star is because DJI failed to include the wireless functions into the device meaning you have to pay and extortionate amount of money on add-ons which add bulk to your camera and extra things to carry. The scroll wheel accessory is also a lot of money for what it does. The mic adaptor, again should have just been included as part of the device. The camera struggles a bit with low light conditions because of the aperture. In summary:-Pros:- Silky smooth video footage- super detailed day video and pictures.- the automated panoramic pictures do a good job- lightweight and compactCons:-Poor in low light-Expensive accessories

I was told there would be a 1x1mm scratch on front and or back (thats fine) but no iPhone or Android adapter came with this which you kind of really & no cover to cover the port to it, thats not my idea of good condition. No strap, It did come with charger C cable & other case an box but that was it.Iv had to email dji to get extra parts to see if i can get them so £30 more to pay on top, said theyd send a free cover bit disappointed. Please not dji have been most helpful but only 3 star for the seller still got here just missing parts works but acceptable condition not good connection.

Upgraded from a GoPro Hero session cam and the difference in picture quality is staggering. There is a little bit of bounce when walking with the camera, but takes only a short amount of time to know how to hold it correctly to get best results. And found that most video editors, even iMovie app can remove this to give great results.

Being a lover of all things tech and already owning a DJI drone I bought this on a whim in the sale. It has good and bad bits but overall I really like it but not really sure when Id use it!GoodTiny it really does fit in your pocketGimble is excellent giving you buttery smooth video you cant get with software stabilisation in action camerasVideo quality is good for its size, on par with mid range DJI dronesBadScreen is tiny, so you struggle to see it.Its finally to use as so small son controlling it is hard. ( You really need the additional wheel controller)The small sensor struggles in low light.
