It’s my first gimble. I used it for a week. In most situations, it works well. I post a video taking with/without Osmo mobile 3, so you guys can see how it stabilized the video. So far, I would say it’s a good accessory I will keep in my travel bag. I like the foldable design, it is easy to put into my bag and the weight is light, easy to handle it.There are still somethings not good enough. When I downloading the DJI Mimo app from google play store, it was stucked several times then the installation was frozen. Fortunately, it was done. So I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

Don’t buy the combo! comes with case but no place to put tripod. so combo is useless. Also, you need to install app before you can even use it (activation). So if like me you simply wanted manual control with some stabilization, forget this. Movement is also limited. Doesn’t do 360 rotation not even close . There will come a point while filming out of dji’s rotation capabilities that it will just go crazy cause can’t keep up and I’m just holding it horizontal. Seem this is more for the vlogger that only film themselves in videos and holds the Dji vertically. Really regret buying this.As for quality, it’s there. Motors are totaly silent, but that’s it.The app is bloated, super complex and trying to stuff content down your throat. Why show me videos of others! Who gives a ….. Anyways, ain’t happy and can’t be returned!

Don’t buy this if you want your video to be recorded in 60 frames per second because software doesnt support this on Android. 60 fps is only supported on Iphone.

Absolutely love how well-designed this gimbal is. I use it with my Galaxy Samsung Note 9 (not pictured here because- well I had to write this note while taking pictures for this post…:-)). The only function thats missing for me is the possibility to switch front to rear camera while filming selfies for Vlog. I am using the DJzi Mobile 3 with the following additional equipment: FilmicPro app for added Pro filming functionality. Rhode2Go wireless sound system connecting the smartphone Sound Jack to the Rhode transmitter unit (you also need to to purchase a little Rhode SC4 adapter cable between smartphone and transmitter as smartphone Jack has 4 pins, and your traditional microphone Jack has only 3 pins). Then the Rhode receiver is connected to a lavalier microphone that I clip on my shirt. This means I’m now able to put my DJI osmo mobile 3 on the tripod (part of this purchase kit) to film myself doing stuff either on my computer or around the house or in the kitchen or whatever you’d like to produce a video for, and not be bothered by a sound cable running from my mouth to the smartphone which is fixed to the gimble.

The zoom function on the osmo mobile app is unable to take advantage of the telephoto lense on newer phone. I have a Samsung S20 Ultra with a 10x optical zoom lense. The zoom on this seems to be using the wide angle lense instead and just applies digital zoom, which makes the picture looks very bad. Have a look at the sample photo I took with zoom from the osmo app vs the stock camera app. Also my phone barely fits into clamp.

Been toying with getting one of these Gimbals for a long time now – eventually bit the bullet and bought one.Only wish I had done so sooner, so easy to use and the results are so much better.

First off, I didn’t buy the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 via ClickElectronics as I found the ‘bundle’ cheaper elsewhere (new). That said, I buy a lot of products from ClickElectronics and find the customer reviews very helpful, so hopefully this will help others that are thinking of buying the Osmo Mobile 3.To cut to the chase, I wouldn’t buy this product again. It’s just too unreliable and buggy. Here’s why :The active tracking function is incredibly demanding on my ‘phone’s battery. I am using an iPhone SE and the Active Tracking can consume 80% of the charge in 10 minutes. If I turn it off the battery lasts as I would normally expect – several hours continuous screen time. The DJI MIMO App interface is pretty much illegible. The characters are extremely small and are faint white – I can’t read most of them indoors, let alone outdoors. The DJI MIMO App is currently locked in Manual exposure mode and I cannot find any way of reverting it to auto. I was exploring the App options, touched “M” to see what sub-options existed, and now it’s locked in M mode. Closing the App makes no difference. Rebooting the ‘phone makes no difference. It’s ridiculous. If you’ve not used a gimbal before (I hadn’t) think carefully about how you will use it. I bought the Mobile 3 to shoot some professional selfie videos, but I find it surprisingly heavy to hold at shoulder height (I also have a small Rode mic attached to it) for more than a few minutes. The Mobile 3 regularly ‘loses’ the horizon (does not maintain a level horizontal) even though the ‘phone has been balanced. This means it has to be mounted onto a tripod so that the gimbal can be recalibrated. I find that I have to do this pretty much every time I use it. It’s a pain.On the plus side, the hand grip is comfortable and the controls are fairly easy to learn. The inbuilt battery lasts a couple of days between charges – reasonably heavy use.According to a close friend of mine who is a professional videographer and cameraman of 30+ years, DJI Pro equipment is awesome. Maybe it is, but IMO this consumer gimbal hasn’t been fully developed.
