I love this lens!It hasn’t come off my camera since day one and I’ve been shooting everything with it: landscape, macro, stock, chickens, and even food. It’s brilliant in low light and has a lovely, crisp image with variable depth of field. It’s so tiny and lightweight, I can take my camera out in a shop without anyone calling security.A few things that take getting used to. The auto-focus is a bit slow and it’s a lot louder than my kit lens. The vibration is a bit grinding on my hands as it hunts for focus, so I need to find the button that takes it off continual focus and only does it when I half-press the shutter. I find I get the sharpest image if I auto-focus then manual focus to perfection. The other thing I have trouble with is the lack of image stabilization. I thought I was doing really well with my kit lens, being able to get sharp images up to 1/4 of a second, but no. It was the IS. With this lens, I have to be careful at anything less than 1/60th and even then, it’s still better if I can use a tripod. Most of these issues are user-problems, so I won’t dock the lens any stars. And even still, if I could only ever have one lens, this would be it.

Small and sharp

This lens works great as a 35mm equivalent prime on my fiancees EOS M3, great focal length for general photo/video purposes. The maximum aperture of f2 gives good low light performance and decent bokeh for a wider lens. The autofocus is also quiet which is nice.

This is a great lens. The bokeh achieved from the F2 is beautiful and obviously works a treat in low light. Very sharp image too. The motor is a little noisy for video however if your just speaking to camera or using an external mic away from the camera its not a problem. Would recommend.

Buy this lens for my Canon M6. The auto focus speed is fast. Image quality is very impressive in sharpness and colour. Manual focus ring feel a little small.

Compact quiet and fast!

No regrets!

Great little lens, almost invisible when on camera.

Sharp, lightweight, nice bokeh and great focal length. Good build quality. I have tested it for over 2 months and have photographed an event with it. Im still happy and this lens will be the most used as it is also very small.

Thats the type of lens that you should have with you always. Its small, light weighed and very versatile. You could use for both landscape and portrait photos and its very bright, which makes easier to take pictures in low light conditions. If you are in a VERY silent place and wants to record videos the autofocus noise could be a problem, its not very loud but you can hear it, in my tests the noise was okay and didnt affect the final product. Rightly recommend!
