    Probably a mistake. Tried cleaning the contacts but autofocus, despite canon advice that it does work, does not work with a 3 year old 7d mk2

    I got this to pair with my f2.8 70 – 200 lens. Yes it cuts it to f5.6, but the flexibility it gives me is superb and solved an issue where I wanted to take some safari photos but could not reach to a great 400 mm. recommended

    Works well on a 300mm f2.8L prime, improvement over the old model. Not tried on a zoom as extenders are usually poor on zooms. Focusing much improved on the old one which was very hit and miss for quick action.
