    Amazingly sharp L series lens. Fast focus with surprisingly low distortion for such a wide angle lens. Adobe Lightroom contains lens correction for this and most other lenses. Used with full frame Canon 5D ll

    Having sold my Much loved Canon 10-22mm EFS lens a good few years ago when I moved up to a full frame 5D, I’ve been missing the ultra wide angle lens from my collection, my widest being the 24mm end of a 20-70 zoom. As it always the case in the bottomless pit that is photography, I finally took the plunge and chose this lens to reclaim that focal length!It’s very light for ‘L’ glass, but it delivers the goods as you would expect. It’s now paired with a 5DMKIII and works very well, and has opened up the UWA world for me again! It’s too short to be a walkabout lens for my tastes, but given it’s weight and size, it’s easy enough to carry around in the bag ‘just in case’ (although I do tend to leave the hood at home as it is very very wide and takes up a lot of space!).Obviously as a f/4 lens, it’s not the fastest, but it’s good enough, and when paired with the low level light performance on the 5DIII, it’s not an issue at all. Sharpness is as expected for ‘L’ glass zooms – great.

    Have just gotten my first full frame camera and wanted a wide angle lens to go with my new camera, my crop frame wide angle lens sadly would not fit my new camera. I have always shot with canon cameras and canon L lens, but had now I have moved over to a Sony mirrorless a7ii full frame camera with a sigma mc-11 adapter. so I can still use all my canon lens, on my new camera and with this wide angle lens I can now shoot landscapes which is cool.The lens is well built true its second hand, but it’s as advertised and not a mark on it to show its been used, in fact it’s hard to believe it’s not a brand-new lens, it’s in that good a condition. and I would recommend using this seller to anyone and will use them again. The item came on time and is good value for the price and I am very happy I use this seller’s services.

    Not going to provide an in-depth review of this lens as there are several established equipment review sites that have already gone over the details. As an established professional photographer I wanted to add my 5 star rating to this great lens. The work it has allowed me to expand into has paid for itself in a short space of time. Using Lightroom’s automatic lens profile correction, the results are fantastic.

    I have recently purchased a Canon EOS 6D MKII camera to replace a EOS 60D and found that this lens is especially useful for landscapes with the image stabilisation, and depth of field.

    I normally stick with prime lenses (I’m a painter who photographs, not the other way round. Used for landscape, some interior, and even portrait. Not the fastest, but hey). This bit of perfect glass mounted on 30v and 50D. Wow! With the new 5DS the 16-35 will go on. Just really quite awesome and comparatively really quite cheap for an L-lens. Can’t go wrong.

    This is exactly what I was missing. I have a very modest collection of lenses and love a bargain so this is a big spend for me. I am very happy though. I have a 2nd hand full frame canon 5d and on it this lens is a superb super-wide angle. I also have a 550d and this lens becomes my absolute favourite walk around lens when mounted on this. The pictures I have taken so far with my 5d are better than I would have hoped, the colours, contrast and sharpness are sensational. The lens is quite light considering the excellent build quality, you know it is there but it’s not killing my arms or shoulders even when on my 5d. I don’t think I will need any other purchases for quite some time now for my camera (except maybe a nice thin filter to protect the glass).It seems some people may have received bad samples of this lens and this happened to me with some lenses in the past so I guess they are out there, however, all I can say is that I have received a cracker. I bought it straight through ClickElectronics. With the £60 cashback from Canon it works out about £500 (at this time)
