Ok this was a weird purchase for me. The sound quality on these little Bluetooth speakers nowadays are very good for their size. And the Bose Micro doesn’t disappoint. I have 5 other Bluetooth speakers all of which produce good sound and I would say this has the best overall sound. The reason I have so many is they simply all have their own uses. I have tinnitus and no longer wear headphones because I don’t want to make it any worse. Anyway I wanted a Bluetooth speaker I could attach to my rucksack strap so I could listen to my podcasts whilst walking, and so that no one else can. So I bought this speaker for that sole purpose. It feels sturdy when in use and sounds great. I am mostly using it at a very low level. And to be honest if I could find a cheaper one for this use I would have done. The one critisism I have, and it’s a huge one, is the battery life is so poor. Depending on volume, 4-6 hours is poor, very poor. Especially for a small speaker costing almost £100!!!!! For this reason I will always carry a spare, fully charged speaker. But considering the cost I really shouldn’t have too!! Anyway I knew the battery life was poor when I bought it. But like I say, it offered what I really needed. And if the battery life was good this would be the perfect speaker. Alas I can only give it 3 stars as a travel Bluetooth speaker needs 2 things. 1. Great sound, 2, good battery life Unfortunitley this Bose soundlink micro only has one of these things!

Very happy with this Bose speaker, sound is excellent,controls work as stated,the battery life with moderate volume last me all my workday.It’s has a rubbery feel which safe guards you from dropping speaker, although I think it is robust enough to avoid damage.The Bose micro has quite a rich sound very pleasing.Unlike my old speaker this one automatically connects to my phone.The Bose app helps with connecting up,shows battery life remaining and what songs are playing.I can use my smart watch to control most functions as well.The Bluetooth range is also good,can be paired to more that one device, and it’s water resistant along with a stretch strap to fix to small diameter fixings, so is great for outdoor sport use. It’s quite heavy so in water sports it would sink.
