So far so good … wayyyy better than the H5s for very little more (purchased for 215)Really good size, very light, almost unnoticeable to wear and feel very secure (haven’t run in them but would expect no issues). Effortless cool design (what else from B&O). Carry case is nice.Sound quality is good, much better than the AirPods they replace not as good as my Shure SE535s but never expected them to be.Not noticed any major drops in sound – apparently the right hand earpiece is the receiver to your phone so the issues I’ve experienced seem limited to when phone is located in a low left hand pocket. Easy fix.The transparency function is useful (basically turns off music and activates the microphones) so you can hear / talk to people without removing pods – does sound a bit odd but is helpful.Does the same thing as AirPods in that removing one earpiece shits music off to the other as well which I always though was a good feature.Wished they ‘went up to 11’ … showing my age there … but I’m sure my audiologist would approve.Happy days ! See these being my go-to headphones from now on.Will update if any issues …

After some initial issues with the firmware upgrade, all brought about by my own reluctance to read instructions. All has went well. Downloaded the correct app and the upgrade went smoothly first time around. The sound seemed a bit low at first but then I found that with the phones Bluetooth volume at maximum the headphones still remained at around 75%. Using the touch feature on the right bud I was able to increase the volume to full and it is slightly too loud for me but at least the option is there. The app enables the use and set up of the transparency feature and has the touch tone equaliser setting. There’s also a volume control on the bottom left. Through the app is also where future firmware updates will come through. The call quality has been very clear both for myself and for the caller. No drop outs or any interference. With my phone in my pocket the connection has never dropped or music paused. If Im in line of sight then the distance from phone to headphones is also good. Only when I start to move from room to room does the connection drop and music stutter.

Very Happy with £179, because I went to B&O local store to have a try on E8 But was shocked by the price, £269!!! Anyway, I wouldn’t say sound quality is amazing but it’s not bad, better than Airpods, you can hear a few instruments played and human voices separately, it’s not for those who weigh heavy bass more than other things, it’s for people who listen to various types of songs, like me, so you can enjoy to taste details of different sound. I bought this mainly because this is PINK! It shines brightly both in the case and on my ear, Looks elegant and design is simple but exquisite, I really love the pink version and leather surface of the case feels really smooth. No delay! Touch controls take some time to get used to cause it’s quite sensitive, an very light touch would do, no need to tap with force. Connection is very easy and never a problem, I wore it for two hours today in total, none of dropouts found. Downloaded New B&O App, please follow exactly what the app tells you to do, don’t do anything steps ahead because I’ve tried and the result is the App can’t find my E8. I have no idea about why others’ problems they have encountered are severe enough to return it. But I highly recommend E8 for its beautiful design and color, premium sound quality and convenience to use.

B&O know how to make beautiful products and for several decades their industrial design has been imoressive. In that sense this is a classic B&O product. But it’s also classic in the sense that although the hardware is amazing, the software ruins the overall experience. I did my upfront research, made sure to enable AAC codec on my mac and upgrade to the latest firmware on the Beoplay. But sadly they keep dropping out, I struggle to connect them to my phone and usually have to go in and do it manually and/or remove and add them again. Even though I much prefer the look of these to the Airpods, I’m returning them and going for Apple’s “it just works” product. Hopefully next gen will work like they’re supposed to. If so I’m definitely buying a pair!

First of all the positives…..Fit is very good. I found the memory foam tips worked best for meCharging case is top quality leather looking. So much better than the plastic offered by almost everyone else. The buds fit very well and stay put.Earbuds themselves are a good size. Not too big or too small. Touch sensitivity is good for the functions.Sound quality is amazing. The range through treble, mid and bass is fantastic and the adjustments within the app are very good (when it worked). The negatives…Connectivity is shocking. I paired these through the app initially on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and Huawei Matepad Pro. Once paired (eventually) the set up was relatively easy. Then the issues began. To reconnect I was having to physically turn the buds on each time rather than just taking from the case. No huge deal but it should be a simple process. Then they just will not pair back with the app. It keeps saying either it can’t connect or they’re not paired. Fine I thought, I’ll leave the app and just use them via Bluetooth. Nope. Had to open Bluetooth settings each time and reconnect them. This is a major failing, especially from a brand of such high end products. My £30 Huawei wireless earphones pair without fault each time. My AirPods do the same. Faultless.Such a shame as I really wanted to love these. They have now been returned.
