Brilliant case. I bought this because I was extra paranoid when taking the go pro in deeper water, and it worked really well. Its a really tight design and you cant tell with the footage the go pro had the case on.Brilliant for deeper water use. Recommend

Works well. Tested & used down to 20.1m to date.I found it easy to control the GoPro on my tray and I could easily see the LCD panel. The extra back covers may be useful for the future. For now, I intend to leave the original one in place. As I’m using it on a tray and don’t have a suitable case to carry everything together, I am using a velvet bag to cover the case when I’m not diving. The intention is to protect the case and lens from damage, such as scratches.Originally I purchased a housing with a power pack supplied. Sadly this flooded after a couple of uses, hence me purchasing this case. The clamp on that was very long and easy to knock. I believe that the size of the clamp and the metal “spring retainer” may have contributed to the flood. With this case the is no such worry. The unlocking system requires more than a simple unlock and this reduces the possibility of opening it during the dive. There is also no metal “spring retainer” as in most other GoPro housings or copies.I have also had to purchase a couple of spare batteries to go with my GoPro. The battery pack was a nice idea, but there were issues.I’m happy with this case now. 🙂

Not sure what to think of it. Haven’t tested it underwater yet, but if you’ve received a case like the one I have, then I wouldn’t want to go underwater with it. Not sure whether I have a faulty one or whether it’s a fake?Photos show:1) rubber doesn’t appear to be completely sealed against the housing. You can see a bend and a gap in it.2) the plastic clasp at the top looks bent, not sure if that’s the reason why the rubber is not sealing properly.3) the picture on the box shows the built-in buttons on the inside as looking soft, but the one I received has a pointy bit which seems to dig into my Gopro buttons. I’ve watched some Youtube vids. and their product looks exactly what’s on the box. Not sure whether it’s an updated version of the original to accommodate the Hero 7?4) it’s not easy to use either, because you have to slide the top bit whilst trying to open a tightly sealed object.I did have a cheaper version of this, but because the metal hinge had rusted, I’d sent it back to get the genuine thing, only to find that it doesn’t appear to be very good either given the fact that it’s triple the price of the old one I had.Now have to send this one back.

I bought this Super Suit for my GoPro Hero 7 Black. I had already dropped the GoPro Hero 7 once, without any casing, and whilst the camera was fine, it prompted me to get better protection for the camera.Going with the GoPro super suit was probably the best choice, as it seems very durable, it has been dropped/bumped etc a few times and yet has not received a scratch or chip or similar. This is greatly recommended, especially if you are using it for more extreme sports.

Firstly I should say two things have made me reduce two stars: Price and usability.Regarding price, I payed the full £50 and its suddenly reduced, so buy it now if you want one, I’ve seen these prices go down and then back up again.Usability: I can’t comment on it’s underwater capabilities because I bought it for sound. Frankly the wind noise issue on the Gopro 6 is appalling, I figured as with my Gopro 3 the waterproof housing would mute sufficiently to use on a motorbike. All you get with no case is pure wind noise from 20 mph upwards, with this casing and the open back, and indeed with this casing and the sealed back, you just get varying degrees of muting of that same wind noise.I imagined that the shape of the housing would alter the airflow stopping the microphones from picking up wind noise-sadly not the case (pun intended).I will go back to my less user-friendly gopro 3 for biking purposes.Taking the lens cover off is a pain, and some have alluded to its continual use undermining the seal/look of the camera.I will use this when going into the sea even if to shallow depths, salt water is a big problem and I don’t trust the seals on the bare Gopro Her0 5/6, as do many others.

Originally I thought this was a little bit overpriced, but with negative reviews on the cheaper alternatives I took the hit and ordered it.I am glad I did, its a great bit of kit. Its constructed from robust and tough plastic, which once you work out how to remove the lens cover on your go pro, is easy to fit (it comes with instructions). The interchangeable doors (In total 2 Waterproof, 1 Skeleton) are easy to change over, they just fold down and pull off. The buttons are easily operated with one hand, and the screen detail is easy to see through the waterproof door, as long as there isnt much sun glare. The reason for the three interchangeable doors:Waterproof 1 – for use so screen can be seen when using the GoProWaterproof 2 – so a float can be mounted to the door (and not removed every time)Skeleton – so the touch screen can be operated when using the GoProI am yet to test it underwater, but the put paper towel in it and put it in the sink test worked! It hopefully will offer added protection when fitted to the mountain bike.It doesnt add too much bulk either, and spending less than £50 to protect a camera that is much more expensive is surely worth it.Ive have attached some extra photos of the bits I was unsure of…

When I first bought my gopro I didn’t feel the need to buy a suit for it, since the camera is waterproof up to 10m, and since I didn’t dive deep nor practiced though sports, I felt I did not need more gear. But it reached a time I did in fact, and at the time I saw this gopro super suit as too expensive and ended up buying a 3rd partie one for £12. It served its purpose of underwater casing and external protection. But yet again as I experienced more with the gopro I started buying underwater filters, and the very good ones have an attachment only for this super suit. Humm… I was thinking if it was really worth it, and as I started thinking more and more, I thought “screw it let’s buy it since the price dropped to £35”. So when I got it my inicial though was “wow.. This is really solid!!” yes, it’s plastic but a very solid very well designed one! Nothing like the 3rd partie one!! And works beautifully! So, is it worth paying more for an authentic super suit? No doubt! This solid piece of gear will last you a long time!
